Men aged 16-25 are registered automatically – there is no longer any need to apply to the MCC and undergo a medical examination. This is part of a pilot project, said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization.
According to the official, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 932 of August 16, 2024, the «Oberih» register began to be filled with data on men aged 16-60. Previously, the registry did not have information about those who had never been registered for military service and did not attend the TCC. And now there have been changes.
The exchange of information between three important state registers is now successfully functioning: «Oberig», the Unified Demographic Register, and the State Migration Service system. This interconnection allows us to create a more complete and up-to-date picture of Ukrainian citizens liable for military service.
Kateryna Chernogorenko clarified why the project is currently «experimental». According to her, this format makes it possible to address issues that have not yet been clearly reflected in the legislation.
