Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Leaked footage of a game set in the Star Wars universe shows what players can expect from Respawn Entertainment’s new project.
Images from the game were allegedly leaked to open access via the artist’s portfolio on Bit Reactor. They were most likely made in 2023, so some details may have changed. Nevertheless, the leak still gives a first glimpse of the project.
The images show that players will control a squad of characters, including both Jedi and Mandalorians. Apparently, it will be turn-based strategy in the style of XCOM — not surprisingly, Bit Reactor employs Firaxis Games veterans who once worked on XCOM.
One of the screenshots shows a system of shelters and a percentage chance of hitting, which is familiar to fans of tactical games. There is also a frame with the caption «support Bo-Katan», which may hint at his important role in the plot. But this character has appeared in «Star Wars: The Clone Wars» and «Mandalorian», so it is difficult to say in which period the game is set.
So far, there is no official information about platforms, but based on previous Respawn games in the Star Wars universe, the game will most likely be released on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. There are also rumors that it might be released on Nintendo Switch 2 — if this is true, then maybe, on the next Nintendo console more games from EA will appear.
It is important to remember that the leak contains only early materials, and the final version of the game may look completely different. However, the wait becomes even more interesting a little more than two weeks left before the official announcement — April 19. Users may be shown the first trailer.
