Norwegian company Opera Software launched a new browser called «Opera Air», which contains interesting additions for «mental health» users and concentration.
The company says that Opera Air is not primarily» a work tool, but rather a system for preventing stress and managing your focus. The browser features a «lightweight» design with translucent themes, and offers features such as reminders for breaks or breathing exercises, as well as a concentration tool that combines music, nature sounds, and binaural beatsBinaural beats are a sound illusion created when two slightly different frequencies are played in each ear, causing the brain to «hear» a third..

For physical exercises such as neck stretches, Opera Air will offer to turn on the camera so that the browser can analyze your posture and movements (but for now, the exercises are only available in English); while in the concentration tool, you can change the music, volume, or frequency of the rhythms (as well as the duration of the concentration process itself).

It’s not entirely clear why the company decided to create a separate browser rather than add all these tools as a separate mode to the current one.
«Opera One — is a great browser that is focused on productivity. But with Opera Air, we wanted to convey the concept of mindfulness through mindfulness tools and minimalist design,» said Mohamed Salah, the company’s product director.
