Google’s Gemini chatbot has been given the ability to memorize certain details about users, such as their interests and personal preferences. This feature is being rolled out to subscribers who have access to Gemini Advanced. It will allow the AI chatbot to customize responses according to your needs and preferences.
According to Google, you can share your interests, as well as information about work, hobbies, or life goals when communicating with Gemini. In addition, you can enter relevant information about yourself on the «Saved Information» bot page, for example, indicating that you are only interested in vegetarian recipes or that you work as an accountant.
Rolling out starting today, you can ask Gemini Advanced to remember your interests and preferences for more helpful, relevant responses. Easily view, edit, or delete any information you've shared, and see when it’s used.

On the «Saved Information» page, you can also view, edit, or delete the data Gemini has collected. The AI will indicate when it uses your information in its answers. Access to Gemini Advanced is provided through a Google One AI Premium subscription, and is currently available in English only.
OpenAI first introduced the Memory feature for ChatGPT Plus subscribers in April. Similar to Gemini, ChatGPT can remember things you mentioned in previous conversations, such as your favorite food or pets.
