Huawei is ready to start selling the new Luxeed S7 electric car, developed jointly with Changan Automobile.
The detailed specifications of the Luxeed S7 have not yet been made public, but it is known that it is based on the Huawei DriveONE platform used in the previous model. This means an 800V system and the ability to choose between a single- and two-motor version. The all-wheel drive version has a total output of 489 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 3 seconds. The single-engine version has 288 horsepower and provides acceleration to 100 km/h in just over 5 seconds.
The interior of Huawei Luxeed S7 offers a minimalist approach. A large central touchscreen dominates the dashboard and is the control center for numerous car functions, including navigation, entertainment, and climate control. The traditional dashboard has been replaced by another screen, and drivers can see the main information on the head-up display (HUD).
Huawei has contributed to the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the S7. The car is equipped with a large number of sensors, cameras, radars and an additional LiDAR sensor, which makes it possible to use functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking. The Luxeed S7 is the first production car to feature HarmonyOS 4, the latest version of Huawei’s operating system adapted for cars.
Huawei Luxeed S7 is already available for pre-order in China, with deliveries expected in December. The starting price of the S7 Pro version is €30.9 thousand, while the S7 Max version costs from €34.7 thousand. The top-of-the-line S7 Ultra version is available for €40.9 thousand.
