Imports of passenger cars cost Ukraine $3.3 billion in the first 9 months of 2024

In the first three quarters of 2024, 239,000 passenger cars, both new and used, were imported to Ukraine. This is 9% more than in the same period in 2023. This is according to the State Statistics Service.

The total customs value of imported passenger cars amounted to $3.276 billion, which is 14% higher than the same period last year.

Germany became the leader among the supplying countries, with 47.5 thousand cars imported from this country. The top three exporters also included the United States and China.

Top 10 countries supplying passenger cars to Ukraine:

• Germany – 47527 units;
• USA – 37367 units;
• China – 28653 units;
• Japan – 24065 units;
• France – 12565 units;
• Korea – 12497 units;
• Czech Republic – 10501 units;
• Slovakia – 10361 units;
• Great Britain – 10151 units;
• Mexico – 10066 units.
