Multiple «Oscar» winner and director of many highly acclaimed films Martin Scorsese shared his latest movie preferences.
For example, when asked by journalists what good movies he had watched recently, director Scorsese answered without hesitation: «I saw the light of the TV».
«I Saw The TV Glow» — is a dramatic psychological horror film by A24 that debuted at the «Sundance» Film Festival in January. According to the official synopsis, the film tells the story of two teenagers and their crazy love for a TV series — but it is suddenly canceled and the main characters’ reality begins to distort
«I watched it two weeks ago. It was emotional, touching and psychologically powerful. I didn’t know who made the movie. And it was Jane Schoenburn,» Scorsese said in AP interview.
It’s not the first time Scorsese has praised A24’s work: earlier this year, he praised Ti West’s «X» trilogy, and earlier he said he was a big fan of Ari Aster’s — «Heredity», «Solstice», and «All fears of Bo».Currently, «I Saw the Light of the TV» has 84% from critics and 71% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes
Earlier, the 81-year-old Scorsese said that he was not going to end his career in the near future and intends to make at least two more films.
