It turns out that to find tips on how to activate pirated Windows — you just need to ask Copilot, Microsoft’s main AI chatbot, about it.
Despite hallucinations, artificial intelligence is still able to give some advice, even if it violates the rules of the company that created it. In this case, Copilot was actively handing out instructions on how to activate pirated Windows — something that the popular ChatGPT used to fail at.
Last week, as social media users noticed (via Neowin), Copilot calmly provided direct links to a GitHub repository that allowed you to activate Windows 11 with just two clicks, and faithfully provided detailed instructions for the process if you asked for them.
In fact, Copilot’s answers were not anything out of the ordinary, as all the scripts have been successfully stored on the Internet for a long time — the chatbot simply passes the information to you. But, interestingly, Microsoft ignored its actions for quite some time, prompting speculation that the company’s main goal is to get you to upgrade to Windows 11, whether it’s the official or pirated version, so that it can make money by selling you other products on the OS.
At the same time, reports on tech sites about Copilot eventually embarrassed the company, and it had to update the chatbot. Currently, when asked to activate pirated Windows 11, it says it can’t help you and reminds you that it’s not legal.

Recently, Microsoft launched a version for macOS (although it is not yet available in all regions) and launched Copilot Voice options and Think Deeper reasoning in free access without restrictions.
