
In a new report, Netflix revealed some interesting figures on the use of the service and shared data on record quarterly profits.
Thus, the streaming service stated that «thanks to interesting and diverse content» users spend more time on Netflix 2 hours per day on average, while the total home audience grew year-on-year (currently, streaming accounts for about 10% of TV viewing in the largest countries)
In the third quarter, the number of subscribers grew by 5.1 million, with subscribers of the tariff with advertising increased by 35% (compared to the second quarter)
The total number of subscribers, Netflix’s revenue is currently 282.72 million, while the service’s revenue in the third quarter amounted to $9.77 billion.
Streaming predicts that in 2025 will reach an annual revenue of $43-44 billion (the forecast for 2024 was $38.75 billion) This may also come at the expense of raising the cost of subscriptions — Citi Research analyst Jason Bazinet believes that prices may increase by about 12%, thereby pushing total revenue up 3%.
