After the debut of the first episode HBO has released a new trailer for The Last of Us, where viewers are introduced to the Seraphite religious cult and the new character Isaac (Jeffrey Wright).
Other shots include references to Ellie’s dark past, as well as the group led by Abby approaching Jackson, and later a crowd of infected people.
The first episode of The Last of Us sequel, which launched on HBO and Max this Sunday, is already was marked by record-breaking views — 5 million viewers, which is 13% more than the first season premiere.
The second season takes place 5 years after the events of the first season, where Ellie (Bella Ramsay) and Joel (Pedro Pascal) are living a more relaxed life in Jackson, Wyoming, although they have a somewhat strained relationship. We’ve also already been introduced to some new characters — including Dina (Isabela Merced), who is Ellie’s new love interest, and Abby (Caitlin Deaver), who will track down Joel to avenge her father’s murder.
The second episode starts on HBO and Max on April 20, and the next day it will be available on Megogo with official Ukrainian dubbing.
As a reminder, the second season of The Last of Us received 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and praise from critics for the show continuing to hold the bar as the «best TV game adaptation». Last week, the series extended for the 3rd season ahead of schedule.
