Microsoft is working on a new feature in Windows 11 that will help users understand how their system hardware affects performance.
As reported byThe Verge, Windows tester phantomofearth in the latest collection Dev Channel for Windows 11, released earlier this week, found a «Frequently Asked Questions» section in the settings that, among other things, indicates RAM or GPU deficiencies.

There are two ways such a FAQ can work: it can provide general recommendations or it can be customized to a specific computer. This is reminiscent of the old «Windows Performance Index», which tested the capabilities of hardware in previous versions of the OS and assigned points to a specific system component, eventually forming an overall system score.
Microsoft hasn’t officially announced the feature yet, but it may roll out to all Windows 11 users in the coming months.
