Men aged 25-60 who applied to passport services abroad before April 24, 2024 will automatically be included in the Register of Persons Liable for Military Service «Oberih».
The State Migration Service (SMS) will collect and transmit to the Ministry of Defense information about such citizens who have applied for a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad and have not received them. According to the changes introduced by the CMU in Resolution No. 163 dated February 14, 2025, the following list of information will be transferred to “Oberig”:
On the basis of this information, the CMCs will register such men for military service and create a military registration document in electronic form. Citizens of Ukraine will be registered for military service at the CMCs at their registered or declared place of residence, and in case of non-registered or declared residence, — at the CMCs designated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Such men between the ages of 25 and 60 will be registered without undergoing a military qualification examination.
At the same time, Iryna Vereshchuk, deputy head of the OP, said that Ukrainians abroad who submitted documents in the spring of 2024 would be given their passports back.
At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers has amended the procedure for military registration of younger men aged 17 to 24. If they are abroad, information about them will be entered into the «Oberig» register as a result of electronic data exchange with other registers: Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Justice, State Tax Service, Border Guard Service, Ministry of Education and Science, Pension Fund, etc.
In addition, the «Oberih» register will automatically update the data of persons liable for military service on the establishment or change of disability group. This includes the disability group, the cause and the period for which the disability was established.
As a reminder, Ukraine is also launching electronic referrals to the medical examination center and electronic queue for the medical examination department.
