The presentation of the OnePlus 13 smartphone is scheduled for October 31. A week before this event, the company published official information about the cameras of the upcoming device. Although the design will be similar to its predecessor, and the phone will have a triple camera on the back, all three modules will receive a significant upgrade.

The 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 main module will be complemented by 50-megapixel telephoto and ultra-wide-angle modules. When designing the telephoto module, engineers abandoned the traditional periscope design and opted for a dual prism solution. It is more compact and easier to fit into a thin body.

The camera unit of OnePlus 13 was again developed in conjunction with Hasselblad. Interestingly, the telephoto module with a 3x zoom will have a 33% smaller sensor than its predecessor – 1/1.95-inch diagonal. The front camera will have a f/2.6 aperture in the form of a circle, not a rectangle, which will allow better light capture.
The company has posted photos taken with the OnePlus 13 camera on its Weibo page to demonstrate the quality of the images.

At the same time, the company revealed some other features of the OnePlus 13. The device has a flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage with a capacity of up to 1 TB.
