Abarth, a division of Fiat, has unveiled the 600e electric car, which is the most powerful Abarth in the brand’s history. It is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of up to 280 hp and is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 5.85 seconds.
The Abarth 600e was developed in collaboration with Stellantis Motorsport engineers and is based on the Perfo eCMP platform. This «pocket rocket» is available in two versions: the sports version Turismo and the limited edition Scorpionissima. The latter has a 280 hp engine, while the Turismo offers 240 hp. The Scorpionissima version has special design elements such as glossy black accents, special stickers and colored brake calipers. Production of the Scorpionissima is limited to 1949 units in honor of the year Abarth was founded.
The company notes that the 600e has been tested on race tracks to ensure the high performance expected by Abarth fans. Engineers have combined a high-performance electric motor perfected on the Formula E test bench with a JTEKT Torsen differential, sports brakes and tires originating from auto racing.
The battery cooling system is an integral part of the performance package, maximizing power during dynamic driving. Drivers can choose from three driving modes: Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track. The Turismo mode is focused on efficiency, while the Scorpion Track mode unleashes the full power of the electric motor, allowing the Scorpionissima version to reach a top speed of 200 km/h.
The front end features a large air intake reminiscent of the Abarth 850 TC, while the rear end stands out with a large spoiler and diffuser to improve aerodynamics. The Abarth 600e is equipped with 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The interior offers a leather and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and for the Scorpionissima — Sabelt racing seats. Both versions are equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment display that shows real-time data such as torque and overload.
Both the Turismo and Scorpionissima models have adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking. The Scorpionissima is also equipped with a surround view system, traffic sign recognition and Level 2 driving assistance functions. The Abarth 600e has ChatGPT integration for natural communication and personalized information.
The Abarth 600e is already available for order in Europe with a starting price of €42950 for the Turismo version and €48950 for the Scorpionissima.
