The police conduct searches of Ukrainian models of OnlyFans, which was first reported to the State Tax Service and later to the Bureau of Economic Security. About reports resource «Ekonomichna Pravda», referring to the words of one of the models whose house was searched by law enforcement and $200 thousand seized.
According to her, on March 11, National Police investigators came to her house in Kharkiv, citing a court decision in a case of pornography distribution (Article 301(3) of the Criminal Code – import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic items with large-scale income).
During the search, they seized not only her husband’s laptop and flash drives, but also a large sum of money that was supposed to be used to pay taxes.
«They took my husband’s laptop, flash drives, and $200,000 that were in the house. I was planning to exchange this money for hryvnia today to pay the tax for 2023. I had arranged the money exchange with the bank in advance. It seems that they were listening to the conversations because they knew when to come to get the money at home»,” said OnlyFans model, who introduced herself as «citizen C».
When she asked not to confiscate the funds intended for paying taxes, the police, she said, hinted that they could «negotiate» if she paid them half of this amount — $100 thousand.
The court ruling states that the girl is suspected of creating and distributing pornographic content via the Internet, as well as involving other women in this. However, she denies that anyone is working for her, including conducting correspondence on her behalf.
«Citizen C» also says that during the search, the investigator showed her and her husband a list of people who were also being investigated by the police and were collecting evidence for porn production. According to her, this list was huge, and the police officer said that they had already collected enough evidence in most Kharkiv OnlyFans models, and their accounts were checked through so-called «control purchases» of content.
«He was flipping through this list and it just wouldn’t end»,” she added.
«Citizen C» believes that the police probably received data on the income of Ukrainian OnlyFans models from the tax service. In the fall of 2024, this information got to the Bureau of Economic Security (BES), which began searching from those who earned the most. Among them was «citizen C».
At the time, EP journalists saw a summons for questioning that the BES sent to another OnlyFans model after searching her home. The official reason for the investigation was Article 301 of the Criminal Code on the distribution of pornography, although this case does not fall under the jurisdiction of the BES. When journalists asked the Bureau about this, they said that the suspects «had misunderstood»’s situation.
After the story about the searches was publicized, it was reported that the BES had informally agreed not to conduct any new investigative actions until Ukraine adopted the law on decriminalization of porn. This was confirmed by sources both among OnlyFans models and members of the Verkhovna Rada.
Last year, Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada’s tax committee, said thatThe tax service received information on the income of Ukrainian models OnlyFans. Laterusers of the platform started receiving demands to pay taxes.
