
The Internet began to bombard users with offers to join the Witcher 4 beta test.
Since some users have been receiving emails inviting them to join the game’s testing — the studio is coming clean: «This is a scam!» In a post on its official pages, the developer confirmed that it has not sent out any such emails and has not launched any beta test. The studio has already taken steps to remove these fraudulent messages. At the same time, it warned that fakes may still appear. If you receive such an email, don’t be fooled and report the fraud via email or social media.
«If you receive any invites to or stumble upon news of one, we kindly ask you to report the scam using the tools available to you in your email client or the social media platform you are using. Remember: Professional monster slayers don’t fall for scams; they see right through them and slay them» — write CD Projekt Red.
CD Projekt also emphasizes that if there is a beta, they will announce it officially. But definitely not through a suspicious email or so-called exclusive access.
Witcher 4 is currently is under active developmentbut the release is still a long way off — the game should not be expected before 2027. So there is no chance of real testing in the near future.
