Revolut is officially in Ukraine — with identification via “Diia” and free transfers (+ a patriotic card for a donation)

Published by Vadym Karpus

The fintech company Revolut has expanded the list of services for Ukrainian users. At the same time, the company introduced user identification through «Action».

Ukrainian users can now open a European Revolut account and access a range of services, such as instant free transfers between app users and currency exchange.

To take advantage of these opportunities, you need to register with Revolut. To do this, you can authenticate yourself using «Actions». During registration, Revolut will transfer the user to the «Actions» application, where you need to confirm the transfer of a copy of a digital ID card or passport. This requires an activated «Action.Signature» and a quick photo verification.

Revolut has also launched a special Clear Sky debit card with a unique blue and yellow design in Ukraine. It can be issued in the app through the RevPoints tab. To receive this card, you need to make a donation of at least £5 (or equivalent) to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Revolut will double the total amount of donations (up to £200 thousand) at its own expense. This donation will go directly to essential services and support for those in need.

Revolut was founded by Mykola Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko in 2015. The company offers financial services through an app and has no physical branches. In 2021, Revolut became the most valuable startup in the UK, raising $800 million at a valuation of $33 billion.

In March 2022, the fast money exchange neobank opened its services to Ukrainians who were forced to stay in the EU. Now Revolut is available for Ukrainians in Ukraine. Since 2022, more than €1 billion has been transferred to Ukraine using Revolut. Germany, the UK, Ireland, Poland, and the Netherlands topped the list of the most active senders.

In December 2024, the Ukrainian language was added to the company’s app, and a few weeks later, the company introduced a beta version of the app for a limited group of users.
