Samsung is adding more AI capabilities to its lineup of budget smartphones. The new Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 models have what the company calls «awesome intelligence», which provides a range of AI-powered image editing tools. Previously, such features were available only in the more expensive flagships of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
AI features that became available in the budget series
One of the new features is Best Face, an AI-powered tool that allows you to change the facial expressions of up to five people in a motion photo. For example, if someone blinks or turns away, artificial intelligence will help correct it. This feature is similar to Google Pixel’s Best Take and was first introduced with the Galaxy S25 in January.

Samsung has also updated:
- Object removal tool – now it works more accurately and recognizes background details better.
- Photo filters that now have improved image processing algorithms.
- Google Circle to Search – is a feature that allows you to quickly find information about a text or image by simply circling it on the screen.
In addition, Samsung has significantly improved software support. The Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 series will receive Android OS updates and security patches for six years, which is longer than previous generations.
Changes in design and specifications
In addition to new AI features, Samsung has made minor design changes. All three models now have an oval camera unit on the back.
All three smartphones are equipped with the same 6.7-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. For comparison, their predecessors had smaller screens: A55 and A35 had 6.6 inches, and A25 had 6.5 inches.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 smartphone has a new Exynos 1580 processor, while the Galaxy A36 is equipped with an older Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. The Galaxy A56 has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The new model has a 12-megapixel front camera (less than the previous Galaxy A55, which had 32 megapixels).
All three devices have a 5000 mAh battery. The Galaxy A56 and A36 support 45W fast charging. Both models also feature an enlarged evaporation chamber for improved cooling when running demanding applications. Samsung has also added IP67 dust and water protection to the lowest-end Galaxy A26 for the first time. The smartphones will ship with Android 15.
Availability and prices
Galaxy A56 will cost $499 and go on sale in mid-March. The Galaxy A36 will go on sale on March 26 for $399, and the Galaxy A26 will be released on March 28 for $299.
