
According to Sony’s statement, CFO Hiroki Totomi will replace Kenichiro Yoshida as CEO starting in April. Instead, Lin Tao, Senior Vice President of Finance, Corporate Development and Strategy, will be promoted to CFO.
Hideo Katsuo will become the sole CEO of Sony Interactive EntertainmentSony Interactive Entertainment, SIE — a division of Sony Corporation specializing in video games and game consoles. will be Hideaki Nishino — previously he shared the position with Hermann Hulst (Hulst will continue to head PlayStation Studios, but will report to Nishino).
Nishino has been with Sony since 2000 and previously served as senior vice president of the Platform Experience Group.

Kenichiro Yoshida has been CEO of Sony since 2018. Under his leadership, the company has spent about $10 billion to create a huge portfolio of games, movies, and music (three business segments that account for 60% of annual revenue) and has been marked by such successful releases as the The Last of Us based on the PlayStation game.
Shares of Sony have risen 22% over the past 12 months and added another 4.3% after the announcement of the new CEO.
