Telegram blockchain TON aims to expand in the US under Trump’s leadership

TON Foundation, associated with the Telegram messenger, announced plans for active expansion into the American market. This decision is driven by the anticipated favorable regulatory environment under the leadership of the newly elected US President Donald Trump. TON Blockchain plans to use this opportunity for the integration of its solutions. Thanks to a network that encompasses over 950 million Telegram users, TON offers possibilities for in-app payments and games based on the Toncoin token (TON).

As part of the expansion into the US market, the TON Foundation (TON Foundation) has appointed Manuel Stotz as its new president. Stotz—a founder of Kingsway Capital, who has many years of experience in investing in new markets and blockchain technologies. His appointment signals the seriousness of the intentions to strengthen its presence in the US. Stotz will replace Steve Young, who will continue to hold the position of a board member.

“It is a great honor for me to take this position and develop the incredible foundation laid by Steve and the entire team,” said Manny Stotz. “TON has a unique opportunity to lead the blockchain revolution. I am looking forward to collaborating with our partners and stakeholders to accelerate this mission—especially in the dynamic and innovative US market.”

The TON token, which is the basis of the eponymous ecosystem, shows positive dynamics. As of January 14, the price of the coin is $5.37. The market capitalization of Toncoin is $13.65 billion.

The cryptocurrency community also demonstrates optimism about the prospects for the first quarter of 2025 in the wake of the Republican victory. For example, the stablecoin issuer Circle announced a contribution of $1 million to the Trump inauguration fund.
