Filming for the final season of the popular superhero series has begun.
Karl Urban shared the first behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the fifth season of “The Boys.” In the photo, the actor, in the guise of Billy Butcher, is all bloodied and showing five fingers.
Showrunner Eric Kripke also posted a photo from the filming, posing with Antony Starr as Homelander, Nate Mitchell as Black Noir, and Chace Crawford, who plays The Deep.
“They saved me. Saved me in every possible way,” Kripke wrote on X (Twitter).

In one of the latest interviews with Collider, the creator of the series admitted that he is concerned about the possibility of losing the punk spirit of the show. “I’m putting in my utmost effort not to sell out,” he emphasized.
“The Boys” is a satirical series about a world where superheroes have become corporate products and media stars. Behind the gloss of their public appearance lies brutality, corruption, and cynicism. They are opposed by a team of ordinary people led by Billy Butcher, who try to expose the dark side of the superhero industry. The first season was released on Amazon Prime Video in 2019.
