Garmin seems to be preparing to release a new Instinct 3 smartwatch that will have a solar charging version. Information about this appeared on the support page on the brand’s official website, where the cost of repairs for various Garmin products was indicated.
Instinct 3 Solar was spotted on the Garmin website in Spain. The 45 mm black version of the smartwatch is listed under the model number 010-02934-00. The repair cost for it is €133.33. For comparison, the repair cost for the older Instinct 2 Solar is €128.57, which may indicate a higher recommended price for the new model. The Instinct 2 Solar 45 mm usually retails for $449.99, but is currently available on Amazon for $348.00.
It is not clear from the available information whether the Instinct 3 smartwatch will be available in the same three sizes as its predecessor: 40 mm, 45 mm, and 50 mm. Presumably, there will be variants with and without solar charging support.
Rumors indicate that Garmin Instinct 3 may enter the market in early 2025.
