Last year, Ukraine abolished the status of persons liable for military service «Limitedly fit for military service». Now, there are either those who are fit for service (fully or with some restrictions) or those who are unfit. According to the law, all persons who previously had the status of «Restrictedly fit» had to undergo a second VLC by February 4, 2025. However, the allotted time (9 months) was not enough for many to update their fitness status. Therefore, the deadline for updating the status continued until June 5.
According to Kateryna Chernogorenko, persons liable for military service will be able to undergo the VLC in a digital format by June 5, 2025, and receive a new category of fitness for military service. The official explains that the Ministry of Defense will have the opportunity to see «this electronic interaction», and the data obtained will automatically go to the register «Oberih».
«And in the «Reserve+» you will have a ribbon «Everything is fine, you have passed the re-examination, you have an electronic military registration document»,” added Kateryna Chernogorenko.
The Deputy Minister of Defense urged not to postpone the VLC, because after June 5 it will no longer be possible to say «no capacity», as it was with the data update.
She also said that in the «Reserve+» application, they plan to introduce the function of paying fines with a 50% discount ─ no need to apply to the TCC. This option is expected to become available in the summer.
According to Chernogorenko, the application an explanation of the reason for the fine will also appear — for example, «failed to appear at the notification», with the date and number. This will help citizens better understand what kind of violation they have been fined for.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense has recently updated the «Reserve+» app, which now allows you to create electronic referrals to the medical departmentandspecifies a specific date.
