The critically and audience acclaimed sci-fi series Silo returned with an extension to Apple TV+ after almost a year and a half of waiting.
The first episode is now available for viewing, and the rest — will be released every Friday until January 17.
«Silo tells the story of the 10,000 last people on Earth who are hiding from the outside, seemingly toxic world, in a huge underground bunker. It is not known who built this shelter and when, but engineer Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) tries to solve this mystery.
The series is based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling trilogy (the writer, along with Ferguson, serve as executive producers), but the showrunners have previously noted that the second season will show a slightly different version of the books — in particular, in that concerns the deaths of some characters.
Silo debuted with an excellent 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, however currently, the score has dropped to 89%. Despite this, there are no negative reviews, the only warning from critics is that the second season «is not as intense as the first».
