Apple TV+ has officially renewed the series “Silo” for two more seasons, which, according to the service, will be enough to complete the story.
Currently on Apple TV+, the first season is available and the second is airing (the final episode will be released on January 17) — which, by the way, debuted with a perfect 100% from Rotten Tomatoes critics. The rating has dropped a few points since but is still quite high, while the audience score is a bit different — viewers rated the continuation of “The Bunker Secret” at 62%.
The series “Silo” based on the trilogy by Hugh Howey (with the writer and Rebecca Ferguson, who plays the lead role, serving as executive producers), tells the story of the last 10,000 people on Earth, who hide from the seemingly toxic outside world in a massive underground bunker. It’s unknown who and when built this shelter, but engineer Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) tries to unravel this mystery.
“The adaptation of Hugh’s epic novels with our partners at Apple has been incredibly rewarding, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this full story to the screen over four seasons,” said showrunner Graham Yost in a statement. “We can’t wait to reveal all the secrets contained within the bunker’s walls to the fans.”
