New teaser for the fifth season of the series «Stranger Things» / Stranger Things seemed to reveal nothing but the titles of upcoming episodes — yet fans are diligently looking for (and finding) clues about new storylines.
For example, the second episode hinted at the mysterious disappearance of one of the characters (some speculate that it was Mike Wheeler’s younger sister, Holly), while the title of the sixth episode, «Escape from Kamazots», may indicate the appearance of a new monster.
The previous seasons of the show used the game «Dungeons & Dragons» as the main storyline, and the two main villains of «Stranger Things» — Demagorgon and Vekna were taken from there.
As noted by Games Radar Camazotz, also known as Zotsilach, is the Olmanian bat god (Olman is an underworld in D&D, full of disease and plague), and is also the name of a «dark» planet in the book by Madeleine L’Engle and the science fiction movie «Time Folds».

While other fans assume that in this way the show’s creators want to bring Eddie Munson back to life — the character played by Joseph Quinn who died in «Inside Out». By the way, Eddie had a tattoo of bats on his arm, and it was they who attacked him in another dimension, so there are a lot of interesting references and connections here.
The fifth season will be released in 2025 (no exact date yet, but hopefully, as usual, in spring-summer) and will consist of 8 episodes. Earlier, the showrunners of the series, the Duffer brothers, said that the fifth season would mainly focus on the story of Will Byers and try to «do not repeat the mistakes of Game of Thrones in the finale».
