
In the first 10 months of 2024 – from January to October – Ukraine imported 50,225 electric cars. This is based on data from the State Statistics Service. The total customs value of these cars was nearly $1.1 billion.
Out of the total number, 13,684 electric cars were new – that’s 27.2%. Importers spent $368 million on purchasing new electric cars, which is about 33% of the total value of imported cars in this category. Most of the new electric cars were brought in from China.

- Japan – 526 units
- Germany – 362 units
- United Kingdom – 269 units
- Belgium – 216 units
Meanwhile, over the 10 months, 36,541 used electric cars were imported into Ukraine – that’s 72.8% of the total amount. The customs value of the used electric cars was $730 million or about 67% of the total amount. The USA led the pack in supplying used electric cars to Ukraine.

- South Korea – 4,815 units
- United Kingdom – 3,497 units
- China – 2,288 units
In summary, China was the top country supplying electric cars to Ukraine, delivering a total of 14,312 units or 28.5% of the total number.
