Ukraine is ready to provide jobs with reservations for men returning from abroad, — head of the Ministry of Unity

The Ministry of Unity plans to set up job centers where Ukrainians abroad can find employment at defense enterprises in Ukraine — with exemption from mobilization.

“Today Ukraine, some industries, need professionals like air. This includes the defense sector, the military-industrial sector, and other industries. We have a shortage of professionals, a shortage of specialists, and Ukraine is ready to exempt most of them from military service,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov, Minister of National Unity of Ukraine (via sud.ua).

According to Chernyshov, specialized job centers will be established in Ukraine and the countries where Ukrainians reside, which will encourage men abroad to continue their professional path at home.

“I am confident that Ukrainian men desire this, they want to be useful. If he is not ready to continue his path in the military direction, he can offer himself as a specialist – and for that, there is a certain mechanism that just needs to be used,” Chernyshov added.

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Unity emphasized that the decision for Ukrainian citizens will be “personal,” not mandatory, but added that at this moment “men should predominantly focus on defending the country.”

Earlier, Chernyshov stated that Ukraine would not forcibly return citizens from abroad.

Recall that on May 18, a law on mobilization came into effect, which, among other things, involves updating data for men aged 18 to 60 — including through the application “Reserve+”. Ukrainian laws mandate the mobilization of citizens aged 25 to 60, however, individuals working in the defense industry or critically important enterprises may receive an exemption.
