The captured Egyptian says he came to Russia to get a higher education in IT technology, but for some reason he decided to get citizenship and a summons at the same time.
Orest Drymalovskyi, a spokesman for the press service of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade of the Tauride, told this story during a telethon (via TSN):
«He managed to save his life. Such a character is interesting — he speaks four languages, he is a polyglot. He will live», — says Drymalovsky.
It is noted that the prisoner was served with a summons a month after he received Russian citizenship, and a few days later he was already at the front line, where he took part in assaults in the Kurakhiv direction and was eventually captured with his «comrade».
«Another prisoner is a typical representative of the Russian army, a former convict who went to fight against Ukraine for 200 thousand rubles».
Drymalovsky added that the DSHV often filmed on reconnaissance drones how Russian attack aircraft «lost motivation» to continue the offensive and «either blew themselves up with grenades or committed suicide with assault rifles to avoid being captured by Ukrainian forces».
