The series with quite realistic 3D graphics «Gandam: Requiem for Vengeance» was released on Netflix in October this year. It is a continuation of one of the longest franchises in anime history, which includes dozens of series, movies, games, books, and manga.
The science fiction franchise focuses on space and war with the use of mechs — huge combat robots. It tells about the brutality of war and the psychological trauma, in particular, of young people involved in military confrontation — something that, unfortunately, does not need to be explained in Ukraine.
The final battle in the sixth and final episode of «Requiem for Vengeance» takes place around the Odesa Cosmodrome, during the Zion’s One Year War for independence from the Earth Federation, which attacks the city. It’s not the first time Odesa has appeared in the franchise, but the latest episode offers recognizably realistic landscapes.
