Cars with gasoline engines are still the most popular among Ukrainians, although interest in them is gradually declining.
In October, 2.1 thousand new gasoline-powered cars were added to the Ukrainian car fleet. This is 19% less than in the same period of the previous year.
At the same time, the share of gasoline cars in total sales of new passenger cars decreased. In October 2023, they accounted for 45% of the new car market, and in October 2024 – 36%.
The most popular new gasoline car in October was the compact crossover RENAULT Duster, which outsold its closest competitor by half. Most Ukrainians buy new gasoline crossovers.
