Ultra-thin Oppo Find N5: the body will be less than 4 mm thick – like two coins

Oppo is preparing to launch its new foldable smartphone, the Find N5, in February. The company’s product manager shared new photos of the device, this time showing its slim profile next to the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The unfolded device is as thick as two 1 yuan coins stacked on top of each other, which is about 3.7 mm. This means that it will be only the second smartphone in the world, foldable or not, to break the 4 mm threshold (the first was the three-fold Mate XT Ultimate).

The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite, and the device with the model number PKH110 has already been spotted on Geekbench. Its results are in line with other flagships running on Qualcomm’s latest chip. However, the Geekbench post showed something interesting.

The Find N5 processor will have only 7 cores: 2×4.32 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L + 5×3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M. We recently learned that Qualcomm offers the following stripped-down flagship processorsand now it has become known that Oppo has decided to take advantage of this offer.

The phone also appeared in a hands-on photo, next to a red Find N3. So, the device has three cameras and an LED flash lined up in a square formation on a round island.

Oppo is expected to launch Find N5 on the global market under the OnePlus Open 2 brand.
