VOLKSWAGEN Golf, RENAULT Megane and others: what used cars from abroad are chosen by Ukrainians

In November 2024, Ukraine’s car fleet expanded by 14.7 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad. This marks the lowest monthly figure of registered imported used cars recorded this year. Compared to October, the number of registrations of imported used cars decreased by 10%, and compared to November 2023, it almost dropped by a third.

Ukrainians most commonly purchase used cars with gasoline engines. These vehicles account for 46% of all registrations.

Distribution of used cars by type of power unit:

• Gasoline cars – 46%;
• Diesel cars – 26%;
• Electric cars – 20%;
• Hybrids – 4%;
• Cars with LPG – 4%.

The average age of used cars that got Ukrainian registration in November is 9 years.

As before, the Volkswagen Golf remains the most popular model among used cars.

TOP-10 most popular models of the month include:

1. VOLKSWAGEN Golf – 873 units;
2. RENAULT Megane – 609 units;
3. SKODA Octavia – 520 units;
4. VOLKSWAGEN Passat – 419 units;
5. VOLKSWAGEN Tiguan – 399 units;
6. NISSAN Leaf – 384 units;
7. AUDI Q5 – 376 units;
8. TESLA Model 3 – 301 units;
9. TESLA Model Y – 298 units;
10. NISSAN Rogue – 293 units.

Since the beginning of the year, 207 thousand used passenger cars have undergone their first registration in Ukraine. This is an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
