S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has become a target for a massive attack with negative reviews. Someone is actively trying to discredit the game and undermine its current success using rather primitive methods. This is evidenced by the money-making offers that are circulating on the web.
The Russians are offering money for negative reviews and comments about the game on Steam and TikTok, but are probably not limited to these two platforms. The messages are spread via Telegram. Players were surprised not even by the paid reviews themselves, but by the meager amounts of money that are used to encourage them to write negative things.
The most ridiculous payment is for a comment on TikTok. For a negative opinion on this platform, you get 80 kopecks. For a video on TikTok, you can get half a cent for every 200 views. A negative review on Steam using a ready-made template is estimated at 100 rubles (about 37 UAH).

If «volunteers» show more enthusiasm and write their own reviews without a template, they can earn from 350 to 450 rubles (approximately 128-165 UAH). But only if they demonstrate great skill and justify their opinions well, for example, on optimization or bugs.
Gamers on Reddit and X ridiculed the paltry amounts for negative reviews and decided to turn the tables on the manipulators.
«So, troll farms offer a 5% discount on the game? Take your $3 and just change the review to positive, my friend!» — wrote one of the users on Reddit.
The reason for this situation is that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has already become a powerful symbol of Ukrainian resistance and endurance in the face of Russian aggression. The developers call the game a love letter to Ukraine created under extremely difficult conditions. Despite technical problems, the game has been a great success — which is probably not easy for Russians to accept.
