Xiaomi has shown the YU7 – a new electric crossover with a range of up to 760 km and a power of up to 508 kW

After the successful launch of the SU7 electric sedan, Xiaomi is approaching the presentation of its next electric vehicle – the of the YU7 crossover. The latest images shared by the company’s CEO Lei Jun gave a better look at the new model, revealing its design and key features.

Visually, the Xiaomi YU7 follows the same design concept as the SU7, with an almost identical front end. The roof lidar hints at the presence of advanced driver assistance systems similar to the SU7. The crossover will get a large number of wheel options – Xiaomi is planning as many as 26 different designs, including a Turbofan-style model.

The Xiaomi YU7 is larger than the Tesla Model Y, but slightly shorter than the Nio EL8. Its dimensions are as follows: length – 4999 mm, width – 1996 mm, height – 1608 mm, wheelbase – 3000 mm.

Initially, Xiaomi YU7 will be available in three powertrain configurations:

• The basic version has a single rear-mounted 235 kW (315 hp) engine
• All-wheel drive version – two 365 kW (490 hp) motors
• All-wheel drive version – two engines with a capacity of 508 kW (681 hp)

For the basic rear-wheel drive version, it is planned to use an LFP battery (lithium-iron-phosphate). All-wheel drive versions will have NMC batteries (lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt) with a capacity of 96.3 kWh or 101.7 kWh, depending on the configuration. Earlier it was reported that the maximum autonomy on the CLTC cycle would reach 760 km. The car will reach a top speed of 253 km/h.

The Xiaomi YU7 electric crossover is expected to be released in China between June and July 2025. The estimated price is from 250 thousand yuan (€28 thousand) to 400 thousand yuan (€49.5 thousand). Outside of China, this model will appear no earlier than 2027.
