THQ Nordic has announced the release of a free demo of Gothic 1 Remake — but without the Nameless One on February 24
The demo will not be part of the game. It is specially designed to showcase the world, mechanics, and atmosphere of the remake. The player will take on the role of another convict, Niras. The story will be only slightly related to the full game. This prologue takes place before the events of Gothic 1.
Some bloggers got access to the demo a little earlier, which gave them the opportunity to watch detailed gameplay videos. YouTuber Enfant terrible recorded video on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090. Unfortunately, there is no performance data on it, and the graphics settings are also unknown. Video blogger Cycu1 ran a demo on an NVIDIA RTX 4080, with 4K/Cinematic settings, the game shows 20 FPS.
Gothic 1 Remake is coming soon on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The release date is still unknown.
