«2064. Most nation-states are extinct. A series of natural and man-made disasters in the 2030s and 2040s triggered the collapse of global systems and led to the fragmentation of the human community. Political actors in this new world are microstates, and even despite ongoing interstate and corporate conflicts, they usually see no point in maintaining their own armies and are forced to rely on mercenary forces — the golden age» of private military companies, the so-called PMCs», has arrived,” the game’s Steam description says.
Website PC Gamer tells the tangled story of 4A Games with two branches. According to the developers, 4A Ukraine and 4A Malta were actually completely separate companies, as the latter spun off back in 2014. Despite the fact that both studios share the same name, engine, and developed the latest Metro game, Reburn claims that the studios in Ukraine and Malta have separate owners. 4A Malta is currently owned by Embracer Group. Studios collaborated on Metro Exodus and are now working on their own projects. 4A Malta will retain the 4A name and trademark, both will use the 4A engine on which Metro is built.
The game is designed for one player, or cooperative up to three. It is unknown when and on which platforms La Quimera — will be released, but at least PC will be among them. On the page in Steam There is a fairly extensive description, but most of the technical details are missing Among the languages of the game For now, only English is listed.
