On the eve of the premiere of the series Daredevil: Born Again, the first reviews and critics’ comments appeared. The reviews paid the most attention to a tough and gloomy atmosphere (and did not criticize the graphics)
«Daredevil: Born Again» — is relaunch of the canceled 2018 Netflix series on Disney+. However, it also faced a number of production problems, so some episodes had to be canceled or completely reshot. Although Marvel executives believe that this will not prevent the series from becoming a hit project like «Game of Thrones».
The plot centers on New York City, where the story of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer who leads a double life: by day he works as a lawyer at his law firm, and by night he becomes the superhero Daredevil and fights criminals. On the other hand, there is the powerful and cruel Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), who is likely to become mayor and pursue his political ambitions. You can see what the gloomy New York will look like before the premiere in the first trailer, which shows a lot of fights and bloodas well as a tense conversation between Shybayholova and Fisk.
Despite the production issues, critics praised the series. At the time of writing, there are no ratings on review aggregator sites yet, but specialized publications have already watched the first episodes and provided the first reviews on social media:

Prepare for a gut punch and avoid spoilers! My biggest criticism is some of the CGI
computer graphics (CGI), meaning it looks a little unrealistic or clunky) feels rushed, but overall, I loved the story and vibe of it all. This version of Daredevil feels much more like a superhero than he did on Netflix, and is already probably my favorite Marvel Disney+ show in recent memory. - Emmon Jacobs, Business Insider: «Pleased to say Daredevil: Born Again is brutally gripping and hurls a symphony of violence at the audience while perfectly capturing Daredevil’s essence as if he never left our screens. It’s not perfect (with some awkward CGI) but it’s a bloody delight».

Among the strongest starts for a Marvel Studios TV show to date, imo, — the first two episodes are terrific, setting up a story that is part court procedural and part all-out brawling. There’s a fight in EP 1 that is all done in one shot w/ a wild ending – really kicks off the series in a memorable way. Honestly reminds me a bit of The Penguin in terms of a city in chaos and a larger-than-life gangster trying to rule all. Similar vibes, but the fights in Daredevil are already next level. This show might have some of the best brawls we’ve seen from the MCU. I’m instantly hooked and can’t wait to see where it goes from here».
The first two of the nine episodes of the series «Daredevil: Born Again» will be released on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. The remaining nine, which were rejected during the production restart, will be included in the second season.
