Навушники HMD Amped Earbuds
HMD has presented a fresh look at wireless headphones. During MWC 2025, the company showed the Amped Earbuds model. Their feature is a case with Qi2 reverse charging function.
This means that the charging case can charge not only the headphone batteries, but also quickly recharge your phone when it is low on power. With a 1600mAh battery, it serves as a wireless power bank for compatible phones, including iPhone and your own HMD Skyline.
HMD said that the Amped Buds charging case works even if your phone has a magnetic ring case. This means that it is designed to be compatible with almost any phone that supports wireless charging.
HMD claims that the case’s battery can give your iPhone 16 Pro a 20% charge wirelessly, or increase it to 24% when you connect a USB-C cable.
At first glance, the headphones look like regular wireless headphones, with a slightly different design of the leg that sets them apart. It’s thicker than usual, 14 mm, and the hinge system for storing and charging the headphones is an interesting little detail that you don’t often see.
The headphones use a spring-loaded system; when you insert or remove them from the case, you’ll hear and feel a small click. And when you take them out, the legs tilt forward so that they sit properly in your ears.
The sound is transmitted through 10mm drivers. You can customize the sound to your liking using the mobile app, which works on both Android and iOS. Amped Buds are equipped with active noise cancellation. The case has IPX4 dust protection and the earbuds have IP54 splash protection.
HMD claims that the Amped Buds last up to 4 hours with ANC enabled and 8 hours in normal mode. With a fully charged case, you get a total of about 95 hours of playback.
HMD Amped Earbuds will be available in April for €199.
