There is never too much dark fantasy.
Legion, an independent studio comprised of former developers of DOOM, Call of Duty, Halo, Destiny, and Battlefield, has presented its ambitious project Covenant, which combines souls game mechanics with dynamic first-person shooters.
Players will take on the role of a warrior angel, the last messenger to investigate the fall of the oldest of his kind — Malach. They will explore a vast interconnected world, traveling through different kingdoms and dangers. The developers offer a large arsenal of weapons, melee skills, fighting stances, spells, and equipment. This allows players to create unique character builds for their own playstyle. Each weapon in the game can be held with one or two hands.
According to Legion Studio, players will face huge bosses and puzzles. The world of Covenant resembles Metroidvania — players will find shortcuts, use keys, and explore hidden locations
The game will feature cooperative and PvP modes, as well as a single player story campaign.
Covenant will be released on PC in Steam and Epic Games Store. The release date is still unknown.
