In an interview with PlayStation, Finn Wolfgangard, who played Mike Wheeler in the «Stranger Things» series, spoke about his gaming preferences and named the game character he would like to bring to life on screen.
According to the actor, one of his main dreams is to take part in the God of War movie adaptation. And it would be fine if he chose the role of Atreus, but Finn is serious about playing Kratos.
«Maybe it’s time to get pumped up if I’m going to be the next Kratos. PlayStation, where can I sign up?” Wolfgang wrote in a post from promotional video on Instagram.
The God Of War series is one of the leading PlayStation game franchises, where the main character is the Spartan Kratos, who challenges the ancient Greek gods. The latest games for PS4 and PS5 have taken on the theme of Norse mythology and added his young son Atreus to the story (although Wolfgang seems to have outgrown this role).
Currently running development of a series based on God Of Warbut, according to rumors, he fell into production hell: the previous scripts were canceled, and they are starting «from scratch» and recruiting a new team.
In an interview with PlayStation, the actor also revealed some interesting facts about his gaming habits:
- in between filming «Stranger Things» he «plays a lot» with his colleague Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) in It Takes Two;
- Wolfgang’s favorite game is Final Fantasy 10;
- last game played — Astro Bot;
- favorite soundtrack to the game — Shadow of the Colossus;
- Bloodborne — is the game that Finn considers to be the most difficult;
- LittleBigPlanet — the game universe you would most like to live in.
As for «Stranger Things», we expect the fifth and final season this year and, according to Wolfgang, Wolfgang, most episodes received «movie length» and «Lord of the Rings-like action».
