Mass Effect 5 game director hints at the game’s plot: «Don’t miss this DLC»

After completing work on Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare is already looking forward to Mass Effect 5. Michael Gamble intrigued fans by mentioning the second game.

The project director and executive producer recommended that Mass Effect fans try an experience that, in his opinion, players should definitely try in connection with the continuation of the saga. On X Twitter, Gamble talks about the re-release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition and suggests playing the DLC Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2.

Currently, there is little information about Mass Effect 5: only a poster and two teasers that show the familiar N7 logo and Liara T’Soni. Those who remember the game can relate this and Michael Gamble’s recommendation.

Let’s remember, the DLC “Lair of the Shadow Broker” focused on searching for Liara T’Soni from the first game in the series and tracking down the elusive Shadow Broker — the leader of a mysterious black market organization of critical information. The player reunites with Liara and can continue their relationship if they had one earlier.

The mission Lair of the Shadow Broker is important because in Mass Effect 3, Liara herself becomes the Shadow Broker and manages the organization. Given that she was shown in the Mass Effect 5 teaser, and that she has become one of the most influential people in the galaxy, it is quite understandable that her role will continue to be significant — which leads thoughts to the fifth game.

Thus, it is very likely that the plot of “Andromeda” will remain a spin-off, and BioWare will showcase the original galaxy after the events of Mass Effect 3, in which Liara T’Soni will be significant — and therefore it is worth recalling her story.
