Ryan Reynolds has said that Deadpool’s joining the Marvel superhero team could mean the end of the character’s story.
The actor believes that the talkative mercenary should remain an outsider, despite his possible appearance in future projects of the Marvel cinematic universe.
«Deadpool interacts well with the X-Men and the Avengers, but he needs to keep to himself. His biggest dream is to be accepted and appreciated. However, this is not possible. When he eventually becomes an Avenger or an X-Man, that’s the end of his story,» Reynolds told The Hollywood Reporter.
Regarding the possible appearance of Deadpool and Wolverine in «Avengers 5» or «Avengers 6», the actor noted that there is no news yet. However, he trusts producers Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito.
This year, the movie «Deadpool and Wolverine» became the character’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both future installments of «Avengers» — «Judgment Day» and «Secret Wars» — do not yet have an official synopsis and full cast.
As for the fourth part of «Deadpool», Reynolds considers it unlikely: «The fourth part seems too repetitive. That doesn’t mean giving up on fun. Deadpool’s story still has a powerful and complete» arc.
As a reminder, this year’s superhero blockbuster «Deadpool and Wolverine» from Marvel Studios and Disney has become the highest-grossing movie with an R-rating in the history of global box office.
