Immediately after the 1.0.1 patch, GSC Game World updated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 to version 1.0.2. The list of fixes is small, but the patch is “heavy” at 8 GB.
The update continues unlocking quests, “fixing bugs in six missions, as well as additional bug fixes”. Here are the issues that were fixed:
- The second wave of “Monolith” soldiers did not appear during the “On the Edge” quest, blocking game progression
- Richter was found dead during the “Minor Incident” quest, blocking progression
- The player got stuck after installing a fuse on Wild Island if they first obtained the emitter from Faust’s cell, blocking progression
- The player could not successfully complete the “What Remains” quest by exploring the Chemical Plant area
- Enemies during the “Military Mole” quest appeared at an unreachable distance, blocking the quest
During the “Images of Absolute Truth” quest, Scar might disappear. - Several more EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors were fixed
“Once again, thank you for your ongoing support. We continue to work on future updates, read your comments and feedback, and fix ‘anomalies’ that may occur. If you encounter such — please report them to our Technical Support Center. This will help us investigate your specific case and implement fixes faster,” the developers write.
The website DSOG reports that the update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl apparently contains no optimizations or performance improvements. Like the previous one, the patch does not interfere with mod operations — at least those whose content is bypassed by the fixes.
