Published by Andrii Rusanov

Stephen King has written that he is returning to the locations of the «Dark Tower» universe. The eighth book in the series, «The Dark Tower: The Wind Through the Keyhole», was released in 2012.

On Twitter, King writes that «has returned to Middle Earth… and to the» Territory. The writer admits that he doesn’t know where this will lead, but expresses his enthusiasm for returning to the Dark Tower of». The post also includes a photo of a T-shirt that reads «All things serve a fucking Ray» — a statement that refers to the Rays that hold the Dark Tower.

Judging by the announcement, it’s not just about the Middle Earth, where the series is mainly set and where the main character Roland Deschain comes from, but also about the Territories, a parallel dimension that is part of the Dark Tower multiverse. This opens up many interesting possibilities, including the chance to learn more about one of Stephen King’s best villains, the Crimson King, who is an integral part of the Dark Tower and the Black House.

It is not known if the new Stephen King work is connected to the upcoming «The Dark Tower» series directed by Mike Flanagan. It was confirmed back in 2022, but now known about negotiations with Amazon Prime Video for its release and very little other information about the project. King often collaborates with authors of film adaptations, so this cannot be ruled out.
