Aya Cash, Stormfront from the series «The Boys, talked about the series Vought Rising, announced in the summer. The spin-off is dedicated to her character and Soldier Boy.
Vought Rising will take the viewer back to the 1950s, when Vought International was founded. The series is expected to have all the «charms» of those times, such as misogyny or racism. Aya Cash has already read the script, two of them:
«I was there! I saw two scripts that are incredible – it’s all very, very exciting. I’m scared because it’s already so good, I think it’s going to live up to expectations when I get on set, whenever that is».
According to Cash, it can be understood that there may not be a final script yet, and the authors are considering at least two options. Also, accordingly, filming has not yet begun. The release time of Vought Rising is unknown and it seems that it will not be soon.
Fans have seen some of Vought International’s backstory in past seasons of The Boys: that of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), Stormfront (Aya Cash), and Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito).
«Introducing the next deranged entry into the world of The Boys: VOUGHT RISING, starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. Set in the 1950s, exploring the early exploits of Soldier Boy and a supe you know as Stormfront. Only advice for now is keep your hands off the fucking shield.», — says the short description series published in June.
From «Guys», we know that Soldier Boy led the Payback superhero team during World War II and was a nuisance to the other members. The new series may shed some light on how Stormfront ended up very badly in the third season of The Boys, but before that, in full force, she was a very charismatic villain, whose story will also be revealed in Vought Rising.
