Ukrainian 4A Games denies its own renaming and congratulates Reburn on the announcement of La Quimera

4A Games denies reports that the Ukrainian studio has been renamed Reburn. The latter is a separate brand and former 4A Games developers are indeed working there.

Previously PC Gamer, Polygon and other publications reported on the alleged renaming of 4A Ukraine to Reburn and the announcement of its fantastic shooter La Quimera. Probably, the misunderstanding arose because of the words of the studio’s head Dmytro Lymar: «The idea was that it would be better if the trademark remained with the Metro series, and we would create a new brand for the new intellectual property».

«Congratulations to our Ukrainian brothers and sisters from Reburn on the announcement of La Quimera — some of them were once our colleagues. To be clear, we have not rebranded or changed in any way. The same founders and heart of the Metro series continue to work on the next Metro game in our studios in Ukraine, Malta, and remotely», — writes 4A Games on X.

That is, there are actually three studios now, if Maltese and Ukrainian 4A Games are considered separate. Earlier it was reported that Reburn is completely independent.
