Netflix released the first image of the second season of “Wednesday” — a dark fantasy series created by Tim Burton.
In the photo, Ortega poses in her character’s traditional dark attire with crossed arms and a somber look against a somewhat eerie background — possibly a cemetery, with gates in a Gothic style and two statues holding lanterns.

Earlier, we were also shown behind-the-scenes images. As of yesterday, shooting for the series has officially ended, and the premiere is scheduled for 2025.
The series “Wednesday” tells the story of Wednesday from the Addams family attending Nevermore — Academy for so-called outcasts. In the first season, the main character tried to master her supernatural abilities, faced three enemies at once, and tried to save her parents (Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman) from accusations.
The plot of the second season has not been revealed yet, however, it is likely that we will see Tyler / Hyde again, played by Hunter Doohan. Emma Myers (Enid), Joy Sunday (Bianca), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Musa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley), Jamie McShane (sheriff), and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (deputy sheriff) will also reprise their roles. Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier, is not listed — the actor was accused of violence and Netflix has removed him from the series.
Among the new guest stars are Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo. Also, as sources at Variety report, expect a cameo by Lady Gaga in the continuation.
The series “Wednesday” debuted on Netflix in November 2022 and amassed over 1 billion viewing hours, securing the show’s status as the second most-watched English-language series on the platform. “Wednesday” also received 12 Emmy nominations — and won 4. Two months after the premiere, streaming announced a second season, and is also considering launching a show dedicated to the adventures of Uncle Fester.
