Warner Bros. has officially released the beginning of the anime “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.” It seems fans liked it.
The video starts with an attack by someone incredibly powerful on people in a blizzard. One of the survivors tells their lord that “he” killed them all with his bare hands. Against the backdrop of the main heroine’s narrative, one can see her herself, a mysterious figure amidst winter, orcs, and other events. The visuals are very harsh and convey a tense confrontation.

Tolkien,” reads the official description.
The events of the film take place 183 years before “The Lord of the Rings.” “The War of the Rohirrim” tells the story of King of Rohan Helm Hammerhand, who tries to protect his kingdom against the cruel ruler of Dunland, Wulf.
“Wulf, seeking revenge for the death of his father, forces Helm and his people into a final brave battle at the ancient fortress of Hornburg. In a desperate situation, Hera, Helm’s daughter, must gather the courage to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on completely destroying her people,” reads the official description.
The animated film was directed by Kenji Kamiyama of “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” and “Blade Runner: Black Lotus,” with scripts worked on by “The Lord of the Rings” writers, and Peter Jackson was the producer. The anime will be available in Ukrainian cinemas starting tomorrow, December 5th.
