The 1987 movie «Running Man» starring Arnold Schwarzenegger has become one of the icons for audiences at the end of the last century. To make a high-quality remake, you need at least a decent cast, and it is beginning to emerge. By the way, the films are based on of the novel by Stephen King which the author published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. The new film is directed by Edgar Wright, who has recently been remembered for the mystery detective film «Last Night in Soho».
It is previously known that the main character in the remake will be played by Glen Powell, whom viewers have recently seen in «Top Gun: Maverick» and «Tornado». One can debate whether this is an adequate replacement for the old Arnie — besides, the actor will get a more charismatic opponent. Josh Brolin will play one of the antagonists in the reality show in the movie, but the information about the specific role is inaccurate.
